Kink Resume
Warning

This page contains information of a mature and sensitive nature.

What's this all about?

I got the idea to complete my full BDSM resume from a fellow lifestyler who shared theirs with me. I realized my Kink List really was an incomplete view into my broader lifestyle image and just how valuable it could be to have a written history and declaration of one’s journey.

My interests and understanding has changed lots and lots over the years. I am not the same girl I was when I first started, thus my ideas and experiences and tolerances have changed. I consider this to be my master document, but it is a running list, fluid and forever to be fine tuned according to my current standing, and continued experiences and exposure to ideas.

I recommend this to everyone! — and that definitely includes newcomers even more so. Don’t be put off by thinking your resume won’t include much. We –all– start one step at a time. Even your “interests list” can be a part of your kink resume. Just get started and watch it grow over time.

Items listed on this page are explored and experienced only with vetted & trusted partners, pre-negotiated and done with the consent of all parties.

Personal objectives

As a submissive/slave, my objective is to continue in service fueled by sincere enthusiasm and passion with a focus on an increase in personal excellence.

As a dedicated member of the greater lifestyle community, my objective is to guard, honor, maintain and share, acting as a steward in good standing.

I hope to one day work full-time in the lifestyle “field” and am open to exploring possibilities. #manifestit

Personal motto/slogan

I am becoming what I am to be.” – my long-held motto since my earliest days in the lifestyle, now updated after many years. I value expertise & lived experience in the lifestyle, and I also value growth. I am a proponent of learning, adjusting and growing. My journey in the lifestyle is happily ongoing… always a work in progress, and I am forever a student.

I have experience in serving in low, medium and high protocol capacities, in polyships, as well as 24/7, long-distance and live-in D/s dynamics.

Having lived this lifestyle for over 20 years, and having had the privilege of experiencing a variety of partnership and relationship styles, and having grown as a human, a woman, a mother, a partner and a friend, I am well-versed in my submission, what it means to me personally, and how it’s represented in my life. (Of note, this also means I can provide a potential partner with a clear outline of the type of submissive I am, and in what ways I tend to serve best.)

Activities

Below is a non-exhaustive list of activities in which I have directly participated (if it’s on this list, I have done it or had it done). NOTE: This is not necessarily my “kink list” — meaning a list of things I prefer to do or have done. Lifestyle identity

Neologism

I coined the term “v-type” (a vanilla, non-kinky person) (2013).

I coined the term “inkspace” (similar to subspace, the emotional high during & post tattoo work, typically before the onset of tattoo flu) (2015).

I coined the term “exposure play” (commanded exposure with risk of being caught) (2015).

I coined the term “Downward-facing Dom” (a play on the yoga pose term) (2015).

I created the consent model of LEA — lucid, enthusiastic, affirmative (March 2018).

Hard limits

I have the same 4 base hard limits since my earliest days… unchanged for many years. I found it necessary to add 2 additional items to this special list.

The Big 4.. 5.. 6

  1. kids – Pedophilia and beyond, or any involvement of actual minors — which for me means 18 and below (and above, as my comfort level allows), notwithstanding any regional legal age of consent.
  2. necro* – Necro-“anything”, specifically necrophilia, but any activities involving anything remotely dead.
  3. showers – specifically brown (scat) and Roman.
  4. animals – …and any other non-consenting living beings.
  5. spiders – This one is so big, it should be listed first, and I require full compliance regarding this limit.
  6. tickling – More than a simple dislike, this action may result in a violent reaction.

THE UNDERSTOOD:

It seems some things shouldn’t need to be spoken, and I would hope anyone I deal with brings some of the same basic understanding to the table. I have yet to run into these issues and hope never to in the future. Activities that result in any of the following (for me OR for others) are, for obvious reasons, off limits:
  • criminal liability
  • serious and/or permanent injury (whether physical, psychological or other)
  • death
As once heard from a D-type friend, “I don’t want to go to court or to the hospital.” and “I don’t want to break my toys; I want to be able to play with them again.”

Agreed, and Amen

AKA...

Kink Fairy Godmother, aka Mama Kinky

EXTENDED BACKGROUND to CURRENT

I officially entered the realm of kink in 1998 via online BDSM-specific chat rooms at a site called Chatropolis. I immediately ventured out by researching various facets of the lifestyle. My second earliest learning resource was a website called The Castle Realm (after which I’ve named my website, The Kink Realm), which served as a fantastic BDSM lifestyle newcomer reference. I soon began to network with other kinky POC by attending Black lifestyle chats (some type, some voice) on AOL, Paltalk and Yahoo. I joined numerous Black groups online and ran my own as well for several years with 800+ members, holding a weekly voice chat with guests like Gloria Brame and Jay Wiseman for over 2 years. I also assisted in the early stages of a national POC lifestyle event. My earliest favorite community member was (is) Viola Johnson, our dear Mama Vi.

I ventured into “real life” BDSM quickly after joining the online community and have continued my involvement by various means. I attend munches, classes, seminars, socials, play parties, demos, meetings and large scale events locally and state-to-state. I have attended and participated in events & groups including Black Rose, CAPEX (Charlotte Area Power Exchange), TJLC (The Journey! Leather Conference), Weekend Reunion, Sprung, Unity Munch, SELF (SouthEast LeatherFest), LLC (Leather Leadership Conference), NC/SC POC Munch, TMG (Triangle Munch Group), and MAsT Raleigh (Masters And slaves Together). I help manage the RDPM (Raleigh Durham POC Munch) as well as its parent, CCPM (Carolina Collective POC Munch), a network of POC munches throughout North Carolina and South Carolina with a focus on education and the uplifting & support of POCs in our community. I have spoken & presented at various levels from national conference to local munches to far-reaching virtual events; I have participated in panels & leadership roundtable discussions; and have served as a volunteer for SELF on multiple occasions. I have frequented various educational and dedicated play spaces including YKW, The Hangar, Baltimore Playhouse, Kapu Honu, and various pop-up & makeshift dungeons. In the era of Covid-19, I present and regularly attend and help lead virtual munches for continued lifestyle education, social engagement and connection with my community.

I have run the following projects:

  • Kinky Black History Month
  • Self-made Kink Contest
  • National Kink Month challenges
  • Kink Coming Out Day (KCOD) awareness
  • Kinky Question of the Moment
  • The Kink Realm

I had the honor of being mentioned as a kink resource (both The Kink Realm and individually) in Marie Claire magazine article “Before You Try BDSM Read This…” Feb. 2015  It was a great pleasure watching the formation and growth of the South African POC kink community, including the formation of their Meet. Greet. Kneel. lifestyle event.

I am a proud patched member of ONYX Pearls — sister organization of ONYX — and charter (founding) member of ONYX Pearls Southern Leather, serving the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. I am the Marketing and Communications Director and Sergeant at Arms for my chapter as well as the Webmaster, and am invested in the formation, success and longevity of ONYX Pearls National. As Marketing head (the "MaCD"), I created & manage our website, oversee our social media presence, design our graphics & newsletter, and engage in public outreach within our community.

I have affectionately been referred to as “Kink Fairy Godmother” and “Mama Kinky” — terms I graciously accept from my friends and family within the lifestyle community. xoxo

I greatly look forward to the privilege of many more years of service to my beloved lifestyle community.
